Live music is opening up again in many parts of the world, and the startups and platforms serving that part of our industry are hoping to help it go swimmingly. One of those startups is Audience Republic, which has just opened up its ‘presale registration’ platform beyond invitees.
Aimed at promoters, festivals and artists, it’s a way for them to sell presale tickets to their superfans, but also to get those fans promoting their events. That works with a gamified system by which people refer friends to sign up, earning points which can be redeemed for prizes including meet’n’greets, backstage passes and VIP / side-of-stage access to events.
Audience Republic also says it will work with the main ticketing platforms, including Ticketmaster and AXS. “You don’t need help selling more presale tickets. It’s really about leveraging the announcement to build up a massive audience you own,” said CEO Jared Kristensen.
